For the dashboard to prioritise automatically, the system needs to know how urgent a job is and when the customer expects us. These details are set directly in the service form. By using these fields actively, you make sure critical tasks always sit at the top, and that you get timely warnings when time is running short.
Priority
Priority is used to separate jobs of differing importance. It is a manual choice that helps the operator filter out the most critical tasks during busy periods.
Default: Normal.
What it does: Setting a service to a higher priority lets you pick it out on the dashboard using the "Priority" quick filter.
Arrival
The Arrival field is a multi-selector that decides when the service is to be carried out. The system uses this information to calculate deadlines and status colours.
As soon as possible
This is the default for new services. As soon as possible means the service should be carried out as soon as there is time. Typical for recovery work, or anything urgent.
How it works: The system immediately starts showing how long ago the job was created. For example (ASAP 5m) appears on the dashboard, meaning the job was registered 5 minutes ago and the customer has been waiting 5 minutes.
Fixed time
Used when a service is agreed for one specific time.
What it does: Here you choose both the date and the time.
How it works: All deadlines (such as the 5-hour and 60-minute warnings) are calculated from the specific time you set.
Time window
Used when the service is to be carried out within a defined window. There are two ways to enter the information:
A. Entering it manually: Type the date and time for "earliest" and "latest" manually in the two fields.
B. Using the quick picker: The quick picker fills in the fields in a couple of clicks:
Choose a value: tap the value you want in the selector, for example "During".
Choose a day or period: choose which day it applies to, for example "Monday".
Result: the system now fills in the earliest and latest arrival fields automatically (for example the whole of the coming Monday).
Undo / go back: Tap the X in the corner of the field if you want to return to the previous view or clear a choice.
How it works: The service sits with a blue status (Can be done) on the dashboard for as long as the current time falls inside the chosen window. This gives dispatch the flexibility to assign the job whenever capacity frees up.
Operator tip: Using a time window instead of a locked fixed timegives dispatch more freedom to combine jobs and use resources better, without filling the dashboard with red warnings unnecessarily.
