Guide: integration between Assist and TripleTex, step by step

To get an integration running between Assist and TripleTex, you first set up API access in TripleTex and then connect it to Assist. That lets you synchronise product data and tailor the settings to your business. Follow the steps below for a smooth setup.

1. Create an API key in TripleTex

  1. Log in to TripleTex and go to:

    Company > Employees

  2. Select an employee (we recommend creating a new employee called "Integration" for this purpose).

  3. Click More > API access > New key.

  4. Fill in the following:

    • Application: Custom setup

    • All permissions

    • Application name: Assist

    • Key name: Assist

  5. Click Create key and copy the long API key using CTRL+C.

2. Enter the API key in Assist

  1. Open Assist

  2. Go to Settings > Integration > Add TripleTex

  3. Paste the API key you copied from TripleTex into the field API user key.

  4. Tick the boxes that suit your business best (we recommend ticking them all for full access).

  5. Click Save.

3. Create product groups in Assist

Product groups can be created automatically, but for more control we recommend checking them with your accountant, as practice varies.

  1. Go to Administration > Product groups in Assist.

  2. Create the product groups exactly as you want them to appear in TripleTex.

This is how the product groups look by default in Assist:

ℹ️ Remember to check that the account numbers you use also exist in Tripletex. Read more about that here: Tripletex - tips for setting up Tripletex and Assist

4. Create products in TripleTex

TripleTex uses products rather than product groups. Follow the steps below to set up products that correspond to your product groups in Assist:

  1. Go to Product > Products in TripleTex.

  2. Click New product and fill in the details as follows:

    • Name: name the product with a full stop, in other words: .

    • Product number*: A-1 (or another number, but use "A" to indicate Assist)

    • Revenue account: 3000 (or whichever number you want, based on your product group)

ℹ️ Note: the product number for product groups is made up of A - product group number

  1. Click Create.

  2. Repeat for every product group you have in Assist.

This is roughly how they should look in TripleTex when you are done.

The revenue accounts are normally set as follows in the Norwegian chart of accounts:

With these steps the integration between Assist and TripleTex should now be set up. 🥳
