To integrate PowerOffice with Assist, you need to create an API key and configure product groups. This guide takes you step by step through creating an API key in PowerOfficeGo, adding it to Assist, and setting up product groups for a seamless integration.
Step 1: create an API key in PowerOfficeGo
Go to Menu > Manage > Settings > Extensions.
Select Add extension.
Confirm by selecting OK.
Step 2: copy the API key
Copy the client key by pressing CTRL+C.
Note: tick Active to switch the integration on
Step 3: add PowerOfficeGo in Assist
In Assist, go to Settings > Integration.
Select Add PowerOfficeGo.
Paste the key into the API user key field by pressing CTRL+V.
Tick whichever boxes in the settings your business needs.
Step 4: create product groups
Product groups can be created automatically, but we recommend adding them manually so you keep full control.
This is how it looks in Assist:
In PowerOfficeGo, go to Menu > Manage > Settings > Products.
Select Add product.
Create a product for each of these codes:
Code*: A-1, A-2, A-3, A-99
Name: enter a descriptive name, such as 1, 2 and so on, or something that suits your business.
Default sales account: use the same account as in Assist.
ℹ️ Note: the codes are made up of A - product group number
Follow this guide and you will have PowerOfficeGo integrated with Assist and your product groups configured to suit your business.
Important information about customer numbers in PowerOffice
PowerOffice has specific requirements for customer numbers. A customer number must fall within the range 10 000 to 19 999 to work in the system. Make sure the customers you create in Assist also have valid customer numbers if they are going to be exported to PowerOffice.
If the customer numbers do not meet these requirements, you will get error messages when customers are created automatically in PowerOffice.
Create a separate number series for Assist in PowerOffice
One good tip is to add a separate number series that you use only for the customers coming from Assist. That makes it easier to assign a customer number when you create new customers in Assist. Here is how:
Go to Settings in PowerOffice.
Select Ledger > Number series.
Click Add number series.
Fill in the fields as shown in the example below.
Click OK to save.
Delivery method for customers created from Assist
Every customer created in PowerOffice via Assist gets email as the default delivery method, regardless of what the default is in PowerOffice.
This is because PowerOffice requires a valid EHF agreement for a company registration number before EHF can be used as the delivery method. As Assist cannot verify whether a customer has such an agreement, email is set as the default to avoid errors.
If you want particular customers to use EHF or eFaktura, we recommend changing the delivery method manually in PowerOffice once the customer has been created.
