About Assist and finance solutions

How Assist works with your finance system: orders, customer and product registers, and invoicing.

Written by Leif T. Rudlang

It is not Assist that sends the invoices out to your customers. They always go out from a finance system. Assist generates the orders and the order lines in the associated jobs.
Assist also needs customer information (thecustomer register) and product information (theproduct register) in order to generate a correct order.

Assist then offers integrations that pass information from Assist across to the finance system our customers invoice from. It is that finance system that decides how the invoice reaches the end customer - it might be EHF, email or an invoice in the post.

To use an integration you need a subscription to it, and the connection between the systems and the correct parameters must be set up. (this is done individually for each finance system)

Assist currently offers integrations to:

  • TripleTex

  • Poweroffice GO

  • Unimicro

  • Duett

You can also create new customers in Assist, and if you want, those customers can be transferred and created in the finance system if they are not already there.
Assist can create a dedicated number series for this purpose, so you can tell where customers were created and avoid duplicates.
It is therefore common to import existing customers from your finance system into the Assist customer register when you first set Assist up. There is more information about that here.

Important!

Customers must have unique customer numbers for the integration to work correctly.

Assist only creates a draft invoice; it must always be checked in your finance solution before it is sent to the end customer.
