With Assist you can easily calculate tolls for an order. We work out toll and ferry costs based on the route driven for a chosen service, then add order lines for total tolls and total ferry costs.
The calculation is done through bompengekalkulator.no.
How to calculate tolls
Open an order in Assist.
Click "+ Tolls".
Choose the service you want tolls calculated for (the first service is selected by default).
Check that the route and the vehicle look correct.
Click "Calculate tolls". Note: this is free to use
Review the summary of calculated tolls and ferry crossings. You can expand each passage to see the details.
If everything looks right, click "Add" to add the order lines to the order.
That is it. The order lines are added as free-text lines on the order, like this:
How are tolls calculated?
We take account of the entire route, both the empty run and the transport itself.
The vehicle linked to the service is used to work out the weight class and the other factors that affect the toll charge.
We assume you have AutoPass and receive the maximum discount.
The calculation does not include time when the vehicle has been stationary for longer periods, which can affect things such as the hourly rule.
We do not take account of rush-hour pricing. If that matters to you, do let us know.
What toll calculation costs
The calculation runs through bompengekalkulator.no, which charges for the service. We include it in the Standard subscription.
Frequently asked questions
I cannot get tolls to calculate
To calculate tolls, the service must be marked as completed.
Also remember that the vehicle you used must be registered with the correct height, width, weight and length. You set this up in the Vehicle register in Assist
The tolls are not calculated correctly
We rely on bompengekalkulator.no, which is the most reliable solution we have found. If you see errors, they may come from the data their calculation is based on.
Who at the station has access to this feature?
Anyone who can add order lines can also use the calculator.
What happens if a route changes after the tolls have been calculated?
The order lines added by the calculator are static. To update the tolls, delete the old order lines and run the calculator again.
Can I edit the toll amount manually after calculating?
Yes. The calculator adds two free-text order lines, and you can edit them as you like by changing the total, price, name and product group.
How should I calculate VAT on tolls and ferry tickets?
If your business is registered for VAT, the Norwegian Tax Administration requires 25% VAT to be added when you re-invoice tolls and/or ferry tickets to a company or customer.
