Start navigation and update the status

How to navigate to the job site or transport destination and keep the job status up to date.

Written by Leif T. Rudlang

Before you start

  • You need to have opened a job from My jobs.

  • The job should have been accepted.

  • You should have selected the right Vehicle.

  • Assist needs access to your location in order to navigate.

How to start navigation

  1. Open the job.

  2. Press Start navigation.

  3. Follow the route shown.

  4. When you arrive, go back to the job and update the status.

Before you have arrived at the job site, Start navigation takes you to the job site.

Once the vehicle has been picked up or is to be transported on, Start navigation takes you to the transport destination.

Drivers using navigation also appear in Map - with their active route, and a visual indication of where they are along it!

How to update the status

  1. Open the job.

  2. Look at the bottom of the screen for the next status.

  3. Press the status button when the status matches what has actually happened.

  4. Move on to the next status as the job progresses.

The statuses can be:

  • En route when you set off for the job site.

  • Arrived at job site when you get there.

  • Picked up when the vehicle has been picked up and is to be transported on.

  • Arrived at destination if your station uses this status.

  • Completed when the job has been finished.

  • Signed by when the job needs to be signed off.

After you arrive

When you press Arrived at job site, you get access to Do the job. There you will find Documentation, Work performed, Payment, Service info and Storage.

These options do not appear until you have marked that you have arrived at the job site.

If you have several stops

If the job has several stops after pick-up, Assist may ask you to choose a destination.

Select the correct Stop or Transport destination before you start navigation.

If the position is wrong

If you mark Arrived at job site a long way from the registered job site, Assist may ask whether you want to update the job site.

Select Update job site if the job site in Assist is wrong. Select Keep job site if the address in Assist is correct.

If something is not working

  • If Start navigation does not give the right destination, check whether the job is before or after Picked up.

  • If the transport destination is missing, go to Work performed and add a transport location.

  • If you cannot update the status, check that the job is assigned to you and that you have selected a Vehicle.

  • If you set the wrong status, open Status options and use Undo status if that option is available.

  • If you need to set a status with the correct historical time, use Set status with custom time.

When are you done?

You are done when the status on the job reflects how far you have actually got, and navigation points to the right next location.
