In Assist you can create requests based on existing jobs. This makes it easy to pass a job on, ask for assistance with a sub-delivery, or delegate the whole job to another station.
Note: You are not passing the job itself on. You use your job to create a request, based on the information you have already filled in.
Quick guide: how to send a request
Create the job in Assist (browser or mobile).
Click the three dots at the top right → select Send request to station.
Choose a recipient from the list or the map.
Fill in the details: message, requested completion date and which service is to be copied.
Review the request and edit it if necessary.
Click Send request.
Typical use cases
Assistance: If you need support with, for example, TMA or crane services, you can send a request to a subcontractor. All the details, including the incident location, are sent with it.
Passing a job on: If you discover that the customer is outside your area, you can pass the request on to a station closer to the customer.
Delegating a job: If you want another station to carry out the job on your behalf, you can send a request. The receiving station then creates its own job, and the invoice is sent to you.
Requirements
You must have an Assist station and use a Standard licence or higher
The receiving station must be part of the Assist network

How to follow up the status
You can follow up the status of the request in two ways:
1. Directly in the job
At the top, behind the job heading, you will see a "sent" tag:
Yellow = Unanswered
Green = Accepted
Red = Declined
By clicking Sent you get more detailed status information.
This is what it looks like if you have two unanswered requests from this job:
This is what it looks like if one request has been accepted and the other declined:
2. On the Sent requests page
Under Sent requests you will find a combined overview of every request.
Practical examples
Assistance
You need support with, for example, TMA or crane services. You then send a request to a subcontractor.
You include the necessary details from the job, including the incident location.
You set yourself as the requester, since the invoice is to be sent to you.
The subcontractor creates their own job when they accept the request.
The job stays open with you until you close it.
Tip: Once the assistance has been delivered, record any costs or invoices from the subcontractor as an order in your own job before you close it.
Passing a job on
You discover that the customer is outside your area. You can then pass a request on to a station closer to the customer.
When the request is accepted, close the job at your end.
You do not set yourself as the requester – the original requester is passed on to the recipient, so that station can invoice the requester directly.
By waiting to close the job until you know the recipient has taken it on, you make sure the customer gets help.
This helps preserve the good reputation of both you and the recipient.
Delegating a job
You want another station to carry out the whole job on your behalf.
You send a request and set yourself as the requester, so that the recipient invoices you.
The recipient creates their own job when they accept.
The job is still open with you, and you are listed as the requester.
Once the recipient has invoiced you, you enter the invoice (and any mark-up) as an order in your job.
You can then close the job.
Tip: This way you keep track of the costs and make sure everything is invoiced correctly to the customer.
FAQ – frequently asked questions
Is the job automatically moved to another station when I send a request?
No. You only send a request based on the information in the job. The recipient creates their own job if they accept the request.
Can I send a request to a station that does not use Assist?
No. The recipient must be part of the Assist network in order to receive the request.
What happens if the recipient declines the request?
The status changes to Declined (red marking). You still keep your original job.
Can I edit the request after it has been sent?
No, but you can send a new request with updated information.
Will I be told when a request is accepted?
Yes. The status is updated automatically both in the job and in the overview of Sent requests. The Operations Manager also receives a notification.
Can I send requests to several stations from the same job?
Yes, you can send as many requests as you like from one job.
What happens if the recipient does not reply?
We then recommend calling the recipient directly to clarify.
Can I cancel a request I have already sent?
No, it is not possible to withdraw a sent request. We recommend contacting the recipient and asking them to decline the request. We are considering adding support for withdrawing requests in the future.
How is the recipient notified of the request?
The recipient receives an email, and the request appears under Received requests in their Assist.
Can I send a request without having created a job first?
No, not yet. For now you always have to create a job first. In time there may be a solution for ordering directly from another station if the need is there.
