The Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating requests, jobs and drivers in Assist. Whoever holds this role receives notifications and has to respond to requests. The role can easily be handed on between people across shifts, so that at larger stations it is always clear who is following up. Smaller stations may have a permanent Operations Manager. Note: to be set as Operations Manager the user must have the role Operator.
How to set an Operations Manager
Click … next to the operator you want to set as manager.
Select Set as Operations Manager.
🔑 The user must already have the role Operator. An administrator can add this via Settings → Users.
What does an Operations Manager do today?
An active Operations Manager:
Is shown as the active manager on the dashboard under Overview.
Receives push notifications when:
New requests come in
A sent request is accepted or declined
A driver declines a service
Planned improvements
This is the first version. We plan to add more features linked to the Operations Manager role, including:
Repeat notifications when a driver has not responded:
A new message after 5 minutes
An SMS after 15 minutes, if there is still no response
More ways to follow up requests and driver allocation
👉 The aim is to make sure important information does not slip through the cracks, and that the Operations Manager can be confident of being told whenever something critical comes up.

Recommended use
Use the Operations Manager role as an active baton – when one operator goes off shift, the role is simply passed on to the next.
That way it is always clear who is responsible for following up requests, jobs and drivers.
The role makes sure that tasks do not slip through the cracks.
FAQ – frequently asked questions
Can there be several Operations Managers at the same time?
No. There can only be one active Operations Manager at a time.
What happens if nobody is set as Operations Manager?
Nobody will be listed as responsible on the dashboard, and notifications will not be sent to a specific person. We always recommend keeping an Operations Manager active.
Does the Operations Manager always have to be set manually?
Yes, the role has to be set manually by an operator. It can easily be passed on at a shift change.
Can I see a history of who has been Operations Manager?
Not yet, but it is a feature we are considering adding.
